Description:
This 8-hour online course is designed to help employees recognize and respect the differences in gender socio-cultural norms within the workplace. Participants will learn to identify unique capacities, needs, and priorities, incorporating these insights into workplace practices and policies. The course aims to develop a clear understanding of the nuances of sex and gender, promote self-awareness of internal biases and prejudices, and foster safe and inclusive work environments for all.
Training Objectives:
• Understand Gender Nuances: Grasp the differences between sex and gender and the socio-cultural norms shaping them to foster inclusivity in the workplace.
• Address Bias: Reflect on and tackle internal biases and stereotypes related to gender discrimination.
• Create Safe Workspaces: Promote respectful and supportive work environments by understanding personal boundaries, consent, and legal protections.

Our Resource Speakers
Vince Liban
Mr. Vince Liban (he/him/siya) is a human rights advocate fighting for gender equality, sexual and reproductive health and rights, democracy, and youth empowerment, based in the Philippines. He was a Youth Innovator at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) – Philippines. In 2018, he was recognized as Youth Champion for Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 10: Reduced Inequalities by The 2030 Project for his work in the youth and LGBTQI+ movement in the country. He is currently the National Convener of the Philippine Anti-Discrimination Alliance of Youth Leaders (PANTAY), a youth-led socio-political collective of young LGBTIQ+ and allies, and organizations advocating for gender equality and human rights in the Philippines; and National Convener of Pride PH, the largest network of Pride organizers in the Philippines. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of the Philippines Diliman.
Rye Manuzon
Rye Manuzon (they/them/siya) is a queer young Filipino social development worker and movement organizer, and uses they/them and siya pronouns, and "Mx." as honorifics. They currently work as the Executive Director of PANTAY, a registered and recognized youth-led socio-political collective of young LGBTIQ+ and allies, and organizations advocating for gender equality and human rights in the Philippines. Rye has been active in various social movements since 2012, in student politics at the University of the Philippines Baguio, in the youth movement when they joined a democratic socialist and progressive political party, and in the LGBTIQ+ movement leading PANTAY.
